Creation of an efficient platform for interaction between the energy complex subjects and related industries in order to exchange advanced knowledge and technologies, develop mutually beneficial partnerships, and attract investments in promising projects to improve the energy industry, efficiently use natural energy resources and generate guidelines for the energy sector development as part of the transition of the Russian economy to the path of innovative and energy efficient development.

The power system of the Republic of Tatarstan is the largest in the territorial power consumption structure of the United Energy System of the Middle Volga region.

Regional Dispatch Control of the Power System of the Republic of Tatarstan, a branch of JSC SO UPS, is responsible for operational and dispatch control of the Republic of Tatarstan power system operation modes.

The energy sector of the Republic of Tatarstan is represented by three major power producers: JSC Tatenergo, JSC TGC-16, LLC Nizhnekamskaya CHPP.

The largest power grid organization in Tatarstan is JSC Grid Company.

Energy and resource efficiency programmes have been implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan for several decades. The main indicator of the programme is the reduction of GRP energy intensity in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the results of 2022, the GRP energy intensity was reduced by 2%, and by 22.3% as compared to 2007.

As a result of large-scale modernization of the internal infrastructure, the capacity of Tatarstan's energy system increased by 1.2 GW.
